1. Something To Bless
Two summers ago, I went to a friend's book signing at a bookstore in Grand Rapids. Before we all got in line to get his signature on our perky new paperbacks, he shared a few words about what led him to write the book. After preaching a few sermons on the subject, he was told, "This is good. You need to write a book. It's time to give God something to bless."
The moment he said those words, I knew they were meant for me as well. I had about 40 songs in my piano bench at home that had never seen the light of day. They were like private journal entries put to music, but they weren't doing anyone any good just sitting there. It was time for me to get off my duff and give God something to bless.
A few months later, I came across the website of a young producer in West Michigan. As I perused his work, I loved what I heard, and saw, and felt. His work was genius, and he seemed very down to earth and approachable. So I approached him. A year later, production on "So Kind" began.
I'm so thankful for the opportunity to work with Tommee Profitt. God used him to pull the best out of me, and to put it into a form that I can now share with you. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much I enjoyed working on it.
